We’re excited you’re interested in leasing an electric car through The Electric Car Scheme! Below is a summary of the steps below.
If you have already placed a car order through The Electric Car Scheme and want a more detailed guide on what to expect, check out this article: I have ordered my lease car. What next?
Step 1: Ensure your company is already part of The Electric Car Scheme
Before we can find you a car, your employer needs to be part of the Scheme. If they aren't yet, you can convince them to- the benefits of our Scheme extend to the company, not just the employee!
We have a handy "convince your employer" pack here.
Step 2: Get a quote
Once your company is part of the Scheme, you can quote on a wide variety of cars here or book a call with a member of our EV Specialist team who are on hand to offer you the best quote possible and find the right car for you.
Please be aware our EV Specialists are only available for customers who's company hasalready joined the Scheme.
Step 3: Employee Contract Amendment Agreement
Once you have decided on the lease for you, you and your company will sign an Employee Contract Amendment Agreement. This contract states the terms of your salary sacrifice and the amount you are committing to sacrifice each month.
Step 4: Order your vehicle
We will place the order for you electric vehicle with the lease provider. If you have opted in for any additional bundles such as insurance or service and maintenance, we will also organise that.
Step 5: Delivery
We will keep you updated on the journey of your car. We will confirm delivery a few days before the vehicle is due to arrive as a well as an updated Schedule of Salary Sacrifice. Check out this article for more specifics on the delivery process: here
You get continued support and updates from The Electric Car Scheme throughout the process and even after your vehicle is delivered!
Step 6: Salary sacrifice begins
The month after your car is delivered is the month you will begin reducing your salary to pay for the car. You will receive a schedule of salary sacrifice so you know what to expect from your pay check each month.
