What should I do on the day of delivery?

Your new electric vehicle has arrived, yay! There's just a couple of things you need to do before you drive off into the sunset...

Inspect your car throughly

Before accepting the car, it's important to inspect it thoroughly to ensure it is in good condition. Please check:

  • the paintwork for scruffs, scratches and dents
  • windscreen and side windows for any cracks or chips
  • the alloy wheels for any scruffs or kerb damage
  • inside the car, make sure there are no stains, rips, tears, or scratches
  • ensure that all the knobs and buttons are firmly in place
  • you have been provided with two keys.

Sign the delivery form

Once you have inspected the car and are happy with it it's time to sign the delivery note. By signing the delivery note, you acknowledge that you have received the car and that it is in good condition. You become responsible for the vehicle and any damages, even if you missed them during the inspection. So, take your time and be diligent!

What if I'm not happy with the condition of my car?

  1. Make a note of the damage on the delivery note
  2. Take a photo or video
  3. Inform your contact at ECS straight away and send them the photos. We will pass this on to the lessor

Time is of the essence. If you do not make a note on your delivery form or let us know straight away, the car provider will hold you liable for the vehicle and any damages.
